Having 7 people over (some are out of town guests) for dinner soon. Not sure when some will arrive, so it needs to be something that can sit. To complicate things we have one paleo dieter, three with gluten intolerance, one with a pork allergy, one with a shellfish allergy and one who doesn't eat red meat.
All I can come up with is turkey chili, which seems too wintery, or roasted chicken. Help. |
| OP, plus two lactose-intolerant! |

Cook in components. So have a roast something, some rice, some beans, some grilled vegetables, rolls, etc. This way everyone will have two or three things to eat. Don't do a lot of stuff that has everything mixed in together.

| Taco bar. |
| I agree with taco bar. Grilled chicken, corn tortillas, vegetables, separate guacamole and cheese and salsa. |

Agree with previous suggestions. Some kind of taco/fajita bar would work well with those limitations.
Also, on the gluten front it's actually pretty easy to avoid if you're cooking at home, just plan a meal without it (rice based, corn tortillas, etc), or get a GF mix if you want corn read, etc. I'd also be clear from your guests how strict they. eed to be RE gluten, i.e. some celiacs are incredibly sensitive and need to use special utensils to avoid cross contamination, while other folks are fine just as long as they avoid the actual gluten containing foods. |
| Yes grilled chicken and vegetables, salad, corn tortillas for tacos, corn chips and salsa, pretty easy way to go. |
| OP here. Thans for your suggestions. I forgot to mention that we are going to a Mexican restaurant for brunch the next morning, so I was hoping to avoid it for dinner the night before. |

Eh. Mexican people eat Mexican foods every day! Just call it your Mexican weekend. |
OK, do plain grilled chicken with lemon juice and capers (is that OK for pale??), and rice or quinoa; and grilled asparagus. A Green salad with garnishes. Pita bread for those who like it. |

Eh. Mexican people eat Mexican foods every day! Ha! That's what my husband said! |
OP--no one with Celiac's, thankfully. We just get really bloated and gassy.
