I interviewed several weeks ago for an administrative position which I was very interested in. They were going to be conducting interviews for several weeks, so there is still some time before I would expect to hear back from them. After thinking about my interview and the things which kept being asked by different people, such as how I would prioritize multiple tasks, how I would keep track of all the work I had to do, and comments about it being a pressure cooker environment, I am really beginning to doubt whether I want this job or not. I like to be busy, but I do not handle constant stress well, and I'm not sure if they were alluding to the fact that the pressure is caused by the amount of work to be done or whether it's because they promise things to their clients that are difficult to deliver. If you are being told something like this about the working conditions in the interview, is that a bad sign? Should I try to ask one of the interviewers for clarification on this matter, or just wait to see if they make me an offer? I hate to waste their time if I already know that I don't want to walk into a stressful position.
