Open Concept Dilemma: Can do a COOL Colored Room next to a WARM one?

Anonymous
One of the downsides of having an open-concept house is the rooms all run into each other. For us, the kitchen is right off the Family Room. You can see 100% of the kitchen from the family room, and vice versa.

So what the heck to do I do when I want a blue and white family room (see pic), but my kitchen is very warm in color. The cabinets are almond. The island is a red cherry. The granite has red, brown, tan and cream in it. 100% warm colors.

So, do i need to make the family room warm as well?

The picture looks like cream, not white, and it looks warm.

Agree. Throw in some red accent pillows. My living room has a great mix of warm and cool.
