How is Rock View Elementary?

Anyone have any experience with Rock View Elementary/Newport Mills Middle area?

Thinking about moving there, and we wanted to know about the schools/kids/neighborhood.

GreatSchools says they're nationally average, but weak schools considering they're in Mont. Co..

Niece and Nephew go there, they love it-small classes until 3rd or 4th grade, amazing aftercare program, great community feel.

If the scores indicate weakness, it is only due to the current test performance gap between white or asian students and black or hispanic students. This is why it may appear to compare less favorably to schools countywide, because many schools in the county have a lot fewer minorities. I am a teacher at Rock View, and I honestly (yes, I know I am biased) think we have some of the best teachers in the county. We really care about all students and class sizes are small in the lower grades. Come join our community
