Beaches close to NOVA for the weekend - KID Friendly

We can only go on the weekends so I need a beach close to NOVA that is an easy drive and kid friendly. We have 3 kids, 4 and under so places with a nice hotel, pool on the beach preferred. We just moved to the DC area so we aren't familiar with what places are good, though we did do VA beach last summer and ummmmm, NO.

Delaware beaches. Stay out of Dewey with small children but the rest are very nice.
