Jeff,
Any chance of mirroring what you did for PG County and creating a separate Fairfax County forum for public schools issues? Then the AAP posts and the FCPS posts could be split off from the more general VA Public Schools forum. |
Yes, there is a chance. But, as is the case with all such requests, I'd like to get feedback from other users.
|
I think the real issue is aap not fairfax. As another poster mentioned, pretty much from October to June, it is nonstop. i am a non aap parent in fcps and would love to be able to not have the entire first page be all aap all the time. |
I think the more appropriate separation is for their to be a dedicated AAP section. |
*there |
Jeff, please, please PLEASE head over to the VA public school forum and take a look. We are clamoring for a subforum dedicated to AAP. (And with good reason. Easily 90 percent of the posts on the first page are only about AAP!)
I assure you, the demand for a separate forum is there and everyone will benefit. |
It's crazy over there, almost kind of scary. Are those parents really serious? Though, I must admit. I do like reading those posts, they are very entertaining. |
Okay, I'll set up an AAP forum, but it will have to wait until the weekend.
|
Yay, Jeff! AAP is going away from the VA forum! |
+100!! |
THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!!! |
Would you consider a similar forum for HGC and/or Immersion for MCPS? In April when the HGC letters went out, it seemed like the first page was devoted to HGC topics. |
I don't even know what HGC is, but if you can demonstrate there is support for the idea, I'll consider it |
HGC = Highly Gifted Center. It's a magnet program for 4th and 5th graders in MCPS.
Immersion refers to any of the many language immersion programs. I'll get some examples later today or this weekend. Thanks. |
