Marble costs

Would you mind sharing with me how much it cost to purchase and install your marble countertops? We have a contract on a house, and we'd like to switch out the counters. The kitchen isn't small, but it's not huge. I don't have the counter top measurements yet, but I'm just curious about what people have spent to give me a very general idea. Thanks so much!

| $7500 for a mid-sized kitchen and mid-range marble. It depends on what kind of marble you use (and the edges). Carrara marble is really cheap. Calacatta marble is really expensive. It would have been $4000 to do carrara in our kitchen and $12,000 to do calacatta. There are lots of in-betweens. |
