YMCA Silver Spring before/aftercare

| My child went to the YMCA-run program when they were at Oakland Terrace (so not the one at the center, though they would go to the center on days when school was not in session). Not a good program. OTES didn't renew their contract. The staff had no energy, did not come up with games or have programs/clubs like the other after-care programs. My kids now go to another program and the difference is night and day. At YMCA, the kids couldn't wait to leave since there was nothing to do. IF you have other options, I would look into those. There is a reason that YMCA no longer has in-school after care programs and it's not because they haven't applied. |
