What PG school are your kids in and are would you recommend it?

Since "what schools in PG are OK" seems to come up pretty often maybe we could share where DC go and general opinions.
My DC will be starting Gladys Noon Spellman in the fall so I don't have much experience with it but so far I have been impressed with the open house and other community activities organized at the school.

First of all, I went into the open house with moderately low expectations. Spellman is has a FARM rate of over 70% and more than 30% of the kindergarten students use ESOL services.
BUT, Principal Holiday was great. She was extremely approachable and you can tell she cares a lot about the students. We visited all 4 of the K classrooms and all the kids seemed happy and engaged. There was a ton of technology in the classroom and the teachers and kids seemed confident and competent using it. The hallways were clean and bright and calm. There were ~20 students per classroom and there were also parent volunteers helping out with reading etc.
Most of my other interaction with the school has been with regards to school supply drives and holiday food drives for needy families. Whenever I contacted Principal Holiday she responded within 24 hours...usually within the hour. I have heard negative things about the secretaries in the main office but I have only had positive interactions with them when dropping stuff off.
Hopefully our experience in the Fall will be as positive. Only time will tell.

My youngest child is at Eleanor Roosevelt High School in the science/tech program. I highly recommend it. Excellent program!
