Gnat control? Any services?

Anybody have any idea how to control gnats? They are terrible.

We do have a mosquito spray company coming in to spray the lawn and surrounding areas so maybe that will help or do you need something else to target gnats?

I did hear recently vanilla keeps them away from you.

Yeah, I keep a spray bottle with vanilla and water in the garage and spray the kids and me when we go out. The gnats are awful here. I don't know how helpful it is. I also heard they got to the highest spot so you could walk around with your arm up high!

Ok I did some research pyrethrin which is used for mosquito control will also work for gnats.

I tried this, bought hats and t-shirts for the whole fam with pyrethrin on them. No help whatsoever.
