MAGA have shame? Where have you been the last 5 years?

The case team has had the documents for three weeks (with the exception of 520 pages that could be subject to attorney client privilege) and ODNI would be allowed to continue its national security assessment.

Trump OTOH is a former president and presumptive candidate for the nomination in 2024. The judge isn’t prepared to decide whether Trump can assert a blanket claim of executive privilege at this time, much less the question of declassification, and a special master can be used to conduct an independent review of the entirety of the 33 boxes/items for attorney client privileged documents. This will result in some delay. Maybe the judge is concerned DOJ siezed documents such as passports that can be used to tie Trump to control over the classified materials in the same drawer but this is in the realm of speculation. Yes, a judge is going to treat Trump is differently than other defendants in a criminal investigation because his status is ultimately different.

1) the files don't belong to Trump; they belong to the USA
2) Trump doesn't have executive privilege. That lies with the President. Last time I checked, Trump wasn't the president
3) Who could serve as a special master with the necessary clearances?

Not going to engage further on 1 & 2 but a retired federal judge is a customary choice. And a federal law — CIPA — governs clearances in criminal matters.

Good luck finding an acceptable retired judge who can gain clearance that is necessary.

It’s a problem for the courthouse if their Wi-Fi network crashes. They should have anticipated an issue.

When I go someplace without wifi, I use my Verizon data.

The partisan judge would not allow it today in her courtroom.

Or do you infer Jared was the gopher who took them for Trump?

That's what I'm hung up on. There is 0% chance his old obese lazy butt read any of this.

Do people think these were just random top secret documents or his SIL gopher Jared scanned them and determined they were of some particular value to take? Trump is a physical idiot, there is zero chance he read or even scanned any of this.

And isn't it well documented that military, CIA and FBI leaders were actually not giving him top level intel because they didn't trust him?

I haven’t read Jared’s book yet, but it probably answers some of this.

You think Jared's book is an honest account?

+1. Talk about naive.

"Intelligence community experts have already examined the documents taken from Mr. Trump’s home and are prepared to tell a jury that they contain the names of foreign agents secretly working for the U.S. This is the crown jewel of government secrets."

I would bet every dollar I have that he gave up the names and got our assets killed. Whether b/c of black mail or profit or both, who knows.

Not that is the WASHINGTON TIMES

Order up the “Kavanaugh Special.” The FBI knows what to do.

We have a photo of a cover sheet marked HCS-P from a box in Trump’s office taken by the FBI. Who knows what was in the 15 boxes returned to NARA and June subpoena production.

YOU CANT USE A PHONE OR LAPTOP COMPUTER IN A FEDERAL COURTROOM UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY THE JUDGE. They can take photos and record video or audio. Both are illegal.

It's also an *opinion* piece written by Andrew Napolitano. It's possible what he's saying is true; however, I will wait until it's reported in the news.

It’s also illegal to steal classified documents, but apparently the judge is selective in the laws she wants to enforce.

Remember the good ole days when Jared keep forgetting to include information on his SF86 and the WHCOS blocked his security clearance?

Check back in when there’s been an indictment. This is a proceeding ancillary to an investigation.
