received a draft email from ceo riddled with errors

Anonymous
CEO was planning to send out an email to a number of vendors that has a ton of grammatical and punctuation errors. How do I go about having him redo the email without coming across like a total asshole.

What's your position relative to the CEO? If my boss sent me an email with errors, I would clean it up and send it back with a note saying "This sounds good. I made a few changes, let me know if you approve."

If it's a draft email, seems like a no brainer that you edit it. Politely state that you've edited it for content and style and ask for his approval.

None of them write their own stuff. He sent it to you as a draft so you could "tweak" it. Make sure what you change is 100% grammatically correct, though, and not just arbitrary. It is a fine line but try not to cramp his "style".
