and you just graduated from high school.
now you're going to college. knowing what you know now in your adult age, what would your college major be? |
|
double major: something I love and something I'm good at and has a flexible but lucrative career path.
|
| I would have kept my useless humanities degree, but added a bunch of stats classes. If I had strong quantitative skills, I would be SO much more employable. If I could go back in time, I would definitely ignore the professors who told me I was too smart to get a library degree and steered me toward a Ph.D. in the humanities. |
| This is highly dependent on where I'm going to college. |
|
No change. Economics.
|
+1 major in economics, minor in Spanish. Both have served me well. |
|
I would have still gotten a degree in Math from UMCP.
I would have done Teach for America and then gotten a Masters in Education from Johns Hopkins (which I want to do now) taught for a few year, gone into administration, worked in education for mild special needs. (Which I still want to do.) I wish I did more volunteer work in college instead of partying so much. |
| Major in IR, minor in cs. |
|
I'd still get my humanities degree which allowed to take a bunch of really interesting classes and learn how to think analytically, write clearly, and appreciate different perspectives.
But a few stats classes wouldn't hurt. |
| No change - business degree. |
| I would have kept my government major but I would have been more ambitious and agressive with my carrer choices. |
| ...I also would have put the moves on the guy I liked senior year. |
| Computer programming instead of education (I should have just volunteered at a school instead). |
| Slight change...still majored in business, but concentration in accounting or finance rather then marketing. |
| Skip the history degree and get one in Chemistry and/or Bio and then go to med school. |
