Blue Mercury - DuPont Circle

Anonymous
I need help with new make-up - products and application. Have heard that Blue Mercury is good.
I am 40s and want a classic look - is there anyone who has experience with the DuPont Circle location and could recommend somewhere there to help?

I went to the Blue Mercury in Bethesda the other day and was disappointed. I was hoping to go in there and tell my concerns and have someone who knew about a variety of different products help me. Instead the person pushed only Trish McEvoy and everyone in the store did the same thing to anyone who walked through the door. It honestly did not dawn on me at the time but when I got home, I felt like I was taken advantage of. If I was interested in one line of products I would have went to the counter at Nordstrom. I was hoping the staff at Blue Mercury could speak to a variety of product lines and that does not seem to be the case.

I really like Blue Mercury in Dupont. They frequently have events with make up artists. Granted these folks want to sell a particular brand, but it might be worth a purchase or two to have someone teach you how to use different items. I actually did this for my wedding (got married abroad, didn't feel like finding a make up artist there).
