Trying to look less washed-out

Anonymous
I have pale skin, freckles, hazel eyes, dark undereye circles, light brown hair w/blond highlights. My skin tone is cool. I look really washed out a lot of the time. Would love makeup recommendations from people with similar coloring. Foundation, blush, lipstick, eyeshadow, undereye concealer, whatever... thanks!

Try Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and look into an illuminator.... Benefit, Josie Maran argan oil, etc If you search the archives, you'll get lots of recs on undereye concealers.

I know the feeling.

1) self tanner
2) physicians formula mineral make- great coverage
3) benefit under eye concealed - go a bit lower than under the eye for better coverage
4) use an eye brightener at the corners of your eye (benefit eye bright)
5) know where to high light and contour (makes a huge difference!)
6) use a rosy colored blush on cheekbones.
7) liquid eyeliner (no smudges)
8) eye shadow in earthy colors
9) nude lipstick and gloss

Make sure that the clothes you wear closest to your face are flattering. It makes a huge difference. I'm a "winter" and look best in deep, blue based colors (black, navy, turquoise, scarlet, purple, etc) and have to stay away from anything yellow-based and most pastels.

mascara will help you look more awake.

lipstick: Clinique lip butter in Pink Goddess or Watermelon.

eyeliner: Stiletto liquid liner in brownish black

still looking for the ultimate concealer. My favorite foundation was discontinued and looking for a good replacement. Both of these you need to try to find a good match to your skin though.
