I just want to say, I hope these boys do, in fact, get labeled as sex offenders and have the book thrown at them. The amount of concern for their futures is not appropriate. They secretly tape themseleves having sex with girls and then circulate the evidence? And some mother is using "but he has Aspergers" as a defense? And people are concerned about the boys' futures?

this is all kinds of messed up.

But don't you know that boys will be boys?

Thank goodness they learned to use technology.

I hate the "boys will be boys," phrase. We should expect our boys to act like gentlemen, and then maybe they will. But, I do believe this case has been blown out of proportion, but we will see what the evidence is when it does go to trial. The boys' attorneys claim that all the girls were aware they were being filmed, and the three boys only shared the tapes with each other. They were never put up on the internet or sent around the school. That doesn't mean that what they did is awesome, but jail time? We are in a new curve here with technology, social media, and constant texting by our youth. They need guidance, and unfortunately, most parents do not have a clue what their children are doing.

The boys in question were West Springfield HS students, not Fairfax HS students.
