restaurants with pretty reception spaces?

(And, obviously, lovely food.)

This isn't quite the right fit for thist forum, but people go out to enough corporate things that I thought I'd ask. I'm looking for wedding reception space for 75-90 ppl in the winter. I don't really care about dancing and my fiancee and I really, really do care about food and wine, so I was thinking about just cutting to the chase and renting restaurant space. It'd be nice for it to not seem completely impersonal or corporate, though, and for there to be some socializing time and space, without just herding everyone to a table. Any ideas that spring particularly to mind? Anyone been to anything nice like that? I vacilate between a La Chaumiere type space and wondering if one could rent the new cafe at the Canal Park by the Navy Yard.

I have friends who did an event just like this at Taberna del Abardero (Italian, 18th & Eye St). Cocktails in the bar then dinner in the restaurant next door.

You might also look at the Tabard Inn.

We did Normandie Farm in Potomac and loved it. It was super affordable and a crowd pleaser ... not one complaint, they were very accommodating. We had 88 guests, so right in your target range.

[OP here] Hey, thanks everyone! The option of doing cocktails in the bar and then dinner in the restaurant is a great one.
