Search question

Anonymous
Hey Jeff and Maria,

I wanted to ask if ti's possible, when searching, to have resulted sort chronologically. I was looking for recent information on the DCPS my daughter has been accepted to, and there does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to the order that the search results come up.

Is there an easy way to build that sort of functionality into the site? Because I think it would be helpful!

TIA.

If you click on the "Search" link in the left column and then enter your search terms below "Built-in Search" and choose "Message Date" in the drop down menu below that, you will more or less get what you want. The pages of the result are sorted by date, but within each page, the results are reversed. So the most recent results are at the bottom of each page. Don't ask.

You can also try to limit the search by forum by selecting a forum from the drop down list of forums, but I am not confident that will always work.

We know the search needs work. It's just a matter of finding the time and energy.
