Angry at SGF

Anonymous
I went in for my blood test this morning and they usually call around 2 or 3pm with the results. Well they never called me today at all! So when I called at 4:15pm the office was already closed and my nurse is not picking up her line either. I am soooooooo annoyed. Don't they know that we're on pins and needles over here??? Its like they have no regard for what we are feeling or going thru.

how awful. i would call the main number and explain the situation and see if they can get someone to give you the information. really hope you'll have good news. i know how hard the 2 week wait can be - i've had bad news and good news w. shady grove so i know how it all feels & i had many times of being annoyed w. them, but in the end they gave me 2 beautiful children, so it was worth it in the end. hope you'll have good news too...

OP here. I take it back...they're not that awful. They ended up calling just now which is really after hours for them. But they in fact called today so I can't be upset. It was a BFN though.

I'm sorry to hear. What office was this? My clinic (annandale) always calls before 3:30pm. If I don't get a call by 2pm than I pretty much know it's a BFN Sometimes the nurses have double the work load because some nurses are on vacay or out of the office.

I went to SGF before too- and I also thought they forgot me- but they always did call- I was sitting on pins and needles waiting for each call... sorry to hear bfn OP- I wish you a big fat positive next time!

Hi OP. I'm sorry for the BFN. Shady Grove worked for me. It was sometimes frustrating, sad, and completely infuriating. But they had the best statistics, and I hope it works out soon for you too.

Sending you tons of baby dust (I know, goofy, but I believe in it).

I know I have had more than one time when I was nearly hysterical because I thought they forgot to call me-- and they always ended up calling in the end. Patience is NOT my virtue.

One time they didn't call till almost six because their computer system crashed. My nurse sounded more upset than I did!

They have also called me close to 6pm before and I was convinced they had forgotten me. I noticed today that the new check-in forms say they will call back between 12-6pm.

That happened to me an I didn't realize that I was suppose to lower my dose of med. So if you don't get a call by 6pm , call the doctor on call. I did b/c after the first time, it happened again. But the second time they left a message at work which I left at 4pm so i didn't get it and since it was Friday, I wouldn't know. I paged the doctor on call and they found out and thankfully I did b/c they were changing my dose again.

When I did my cycle with SG, it was 5:30 and I hadn't gotten a call yet, so I was sure it was a bfn -- but no, it was a bfp! So you just never know!

This is why they say on the form, leave a number where you can be reached between Noon and 6pm. It isn't their fault that you left a number that you couldn't be reached at. And why did you leave a number where you couldn't check your messages after 4pm?

I didn't. They don't seem to pay attention to those forms b/c I clearly gave them my pager and cell phone but they used the number they have listed in their computer system. This has happened a few times where they do not call the number I list but one in their system such as work or home.
