Switching jobs in the middle of the year, how does your ss medicare max work if you hit the limit

If you switch jobs in the middle of the year what happens to the cap at 118k

Do you just get a refund at the end of the year or will the new employer track the amount from the old employer and stop paying it at 118k for both jobs.

Yes, you'll get it back at the end of the year. Each employer will only keep track of your wages at that job. And Medicare does not have a limit, only Social Security.
