| OP. imagine a world where you were mainly judge by the worst stereotypes and you'll have an idea of what it feels like to be this young lady. |
| Please tell me how I can make myself black, so I can get a low-level office job in the dc government.... |
Are you African American? |
Low-level but $$$$$$$$$$$ for the position. |
Please tell me, too. -Black woman who has applied for dozens of govt jobs with no luck. |
| I know more than a few caucasians who would love to be able to classify themselves as AA so that their kids could get scholarship money and preferential treatment for college applications. The whole system is an insult to everyone concerned. |
I got a scholarship for being an outstanding example of an Italian American-- academic merit and promoting italian culture. There are scholarships for all sorts of Caucasians-- from ethnicity based to organization based. So don't sit there and pretend that poor white folks just can't get a scholarship because all the black folks are hogging them. |
Which part is sick. Is it sick that the job calls were not coming in because she is Black. Or, is it sick that the calls and offers started pouring in when they thought she was a White woman with the same credentials. Exactly, which part is sick? |
I know more than a few black people who would love to be classified as caucasian so they could get a taxi after work or drive their cars without being racially profiled and pulled over. They would love that preferential treatment for caucasians in America. The whole system is an insult. |

This a million times over (although I love being black, I wouldn't mind getting some of that "white privilege") |
how do you figure? low level does not mean lots of money. not even in the govt. |
