Posters who try to be witty by using words like "etiolate" that they clearly don't understand, and who-use-too-many-hyphens, so that instead of looking witty they look pompous and uneducated. Not to mention, unintentionally creating bizarre images of pale woodland birds and tall mountains (instead of pools/puddles) of liquids like bile. |
You know they were just making a joke based on an argument early on in this thread about something similar, right? They aren't the Grammar Police. |
We thought you meant: STOPS' ALREADY. |
The MAN is the PLAN! |
Ain't there been tonses' of threads on this already? |
SHEEPLE. |

Gotta go sprinkle some more Skittles™ on my Fluff™ on Wonderbread™ toast sandwiches for my pit bulls in the double wide. They see me rollin'; they be haten'. |

Save the humble metaphor from assassination by the Ranting Atheist! Seriously, though, why do we keep hearing that atheists are smart? Is it something we're supposed to "believe" despite plenty of hard evidence above? |
there
their they're not the same. |
Of course people who don't believe a load of superstitious nonsense are, on average, going to be smarter than people who do. There is plenty of evidence to support this - e.g. http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0160289608001013 http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0160289608000238 http://www.stephenjaygould.org/ctrl/news/file002.html But to be honest, no amount of evidence will convince you. Religious people don't put their trust in reason or rationality, they put their trust in faith. Why use reason when you can go with a bunch of random stories you have heard because of where and when you were raised, like children waiting for santa claus. |
Not the lazy spell checking pp but typing on iPad is pia and sometimes I do not correct errors. Or type grammatical sentences... |
I'm just annoyed about any conversation around grammar or spelling here. There are bound to be mistakes in many posts and rather than sticking to the content several people will turn it into a grammar debate. There is always the grammar corrector who ironically makes an error and it just tickles the crap out of the other grammar police and the fun continues!
It's just such a dull subject. |
Whatever. The Ranting Atheist is clearly half-literate. |
