I’m sorry but this is super obvious. More east coasters apply to Williams and more west coasters apply to Pomona. Most people don’t travel across the country for school- even good ones. It’s unnecessary to. |
Good luck getting into Pomona from the DMV! |
Both sound like wonderful opportunities to go somewhere most people can only dream of. |
the enrollment is 1700+/- - there’s not a ton of any type of kids there |
You just did! Thank you. |
And one is way better… |
Care to provide some evidence for this? I'm pretty sure that you can't but there is plenty of evidence to the contrary regarding international applications skewing acceptance rates. ED is a different animal and harder to decipher because of programs like the ones that you mentioned along with athletes and others. |
WASP-B (pronounced like WASPY) |
I think it’s obvious we’re talking relative to an lac. |
I am sure that Haverford appreciates your endorsement. |
Except they're not that different. In the SLAC world, the universe of people who know about these smaller schools and end up applying to them is quite small compared to larger universities. An increase in size doesn't automatically mean an increase in applicant pool. If applicant size remains about the same and school size increases, guess what also goes up? Acceptance rate. The point is that SAT medians and ACT medians are quite similar for Middlebury and Bowdoin. |
Yes! Let’s go with WASP-B! |
Huh? Pomona Cambridge program I’d better than Williams Oxford. Does Haverford have a program? |
