Been keeping an eye out for them because I’m intrigued for my son to try out this summer (his current team is a whole other story) but they don’t appear to be playing that well yet based on some Fall tourney results and the small sample size so far in HoCo AAA group games. I haven’t seen them play yet, just what’s on paper, so I know that has its limits.

Any idea where most of the kids came from? Are they Elite level players who moved on from their teams for a new opportunity or are they mostly AAA/AA type players who hadn’t yet broken into an Elite level squad?

Team would be best playing at AA. Their best players moved on to Elite teams last year.
This isn't going to change unless another local team implodes and players move en masse.

They're good enough to compete at Elite for the 2031s, which isn't good. If they don't get an influx this year, I doubt it improves. They should be better than they are, and I don't know why the 30s and 29s are floundering so badly.

What r u saying the 2030 team would
Be good enough to compete in the 2032 elite. I would welcome that any day and the top for 31 teams would salivate for that.

I’m pretty sure the PP meant to say that the 2030 black team was NOT good enough to compete against 2031 elite teams.

They are saying the 2031's aren't good enough for the elite 2031's. So why would the 2030's be in the elite because a better team in the age group above isn't competing.

There are no DCE 2031s

They're 2-1 in AAA and were missing half their team for spring break in only loss

My bad. They’re 1-2 according to hoco’s website.

The results speak for themselves. The 30s are not a strong group thus far, and it doesn't look like a lot of help is coming their way. Will be interesting to see if this pattern repeats for the next few cycles.

The BLC Blue 2031 team is 2-2 in the single A division of HoCo so it’s not looking good.

The pipeline is dead, and nobody at the top has cared for the last couple of years. 27s have had an absentee HC, and DCE never cared. Word gets around.

It's hard to create a new pipeline, but it's bad for the region to have a good club fall by the wayside. Competition keeps the other clubs in line.

Don't misunderstand me: I'm not rooting for DCE to fail. The people in charge have been doing the minimum required. See other posts about zero recruiting help, MIA coaches, etc. It's tough to draw talent who has other choices who will care.

I truly hope Urick turns it around. He should start by engaging the upper class parents to see what's not working.
