I see that Arlington is having a first RL tryout on the same day as a third ECNL tryout. If they don't have an ECNL offer are they supposed to attend both tryouts, or keep going to just ECNL and then to a later RL tryout if they don't get an offer for ECNL? I realize they likely know who they want already for ECNL, but DC has not been officially rejected (yet). Would be nice to have some closure on ECNL before knowing whether to attend RL tryouts.

There are no coaches listed for RL, so not sure who to ask. Coming from outside the club.

What will the hierarchy of teams do next year be in U13B?

U13B ECNL
U13B RL
U13B Red
U13B White

"RL" means thy don't travel as much. It's the second team for ECNL, yes?

If you haven’t gotten your ECNL offer yet unfortunately there is slim chance you get one. I’d go to the RL tryout so they get to see you. Don’t assume the ECNL coaches are passing their evaluation along.

Now they sent an email saying the ECNL ID session for tomorrow is only for players outside the club or those within the club who were specifically invited to attend. Not sure what to make of that. I assume they’re inviting internal players who they already offered, and evaluating outside kids against them? The ECNL tryout time works much better for our schedule tomorrow but hate to miss out on RL if that’s more realistic. Ugh. Why they couldn’t separate these by a just few days I don’t understand.

They just mean they don’t want their existing RL players attending the ID sessions. The existing ECNL players will be there.

Pro tip: if you play in Arlington’s RL, you have a 20% at best to play on the academy team at any point in the future.

I'm surprised a big club wouldn't be more organized to not have two tryouts conflict like that. Lame.

The snowcrete storm is making all the tryouts condensed, you only have so many permits and many practices and tryouts were canceled and delayed. It wasn't their lack of planning, it was the situation they faced.

Haven’t seen anything. Has anyone heard anything? It sounded like they may not reach out until after ECNL sessions this week.
