People who walk around while they’re eating an apple like they’re showing off or something.

OMG, this made me laugh out loud!

Me too. No lie!

I also don’t get people who eat clandestinely clawing their muffin or apple out of paper bags and won’t show off the food. Weirdo.

Acting like the food is some great mystery and has to be concealed while devouring

It’s about containing the crumbs when you break a bite off.

This. How can you not know that?

Oh god my husband. Do you know how hard it is to cook without onions? How he sounds like an 8 year old when he orders at restaurants.

Have you been to Texas?

My friend’s brother in college had this. It seemed to be some form of attention seeking behavior. His diet was limited to plain hamburgers, plain pasta, eggs, bread. No veggies. No trying anything new. I traveled with them and he and their cousin would try to outdo each other describing the foods on the menus they don’t eat. Parents were very indulgent.

^I think I meant the parents were indulging to their kids behavior. (Someone is going to get angry about my grammar.)

And I am one of those picky eaters who is annoyed by people like you. Why is it so irritating to you if your DH says, "No onions, please." when he orders something in a restaurant? Many people have certain foods they don't care for. That's why there is a variety of choice on menus. Intolerance of others is a much worse annoyance than someone's food choice.

Picky eaters are the worst. Most people don't like a few things, but adults eat them anyway if they're mixed in to dishes. Will I eat cherry tomatoes or tomato slices? No. Will I eat dishes made with tomatoes cooked in? Absolutely. Would I prefer it without tomatoes? Yes, but it's not a big deal. Adults make do with situations even if it's not to their liking.

People who use "that" instead of "who."

YES

I came across this in a book recently and got irrationally angry

Same.

My biggest grip is "farther" versus "further." People use further about 97% of the time when they should have used farther.

People who cross in the middle of a busy street when there's literally a signalized crosswalk just 20 feet away.

People who double park when there's literally an open spot 20 feet up.

People who throw their trash on the floor when there's literally a can 20 feet away.

I'm convinced a lot of people are just completely oblivious.

People who overuse the word literally.

Because he (and you) sound like an 8 year old. Eat what's put in front of you.
I have a friend who doesn't like fruit, won't eat any wild game, etc.
I feel like its immature, indulgent and attention seeking.

Even though we're pass covid, I still order ahead for groceries stores and target and people who park in the pickup spaces but go in the store is INFURIATING. It's just laziness, selfishness and entitlement.
