First off--such a horrible story and I am praying her three sons stay together , I don't know if her sister can adopt them-I hope she can. I would if I was younger and had the energy to care of small kids. The area her mom has a condo in is actually pretty expensive for Serbian and EE standards, probably around 200/300 euros in that state and if renovated 300/400. Yes, the condo hasnt been upgraded since the 1960s. It is not uncommon to see someone like Ana--being dressed up in designer clothing living with parents (in a dilapidated condo) who are in sweatpants from the 70s...I know from a US perspective this makes no sense but it is common in Belgrade. Being middle class is really not about what your condo looks like , nor how your parents dress, even during the war when no one had any money---most families kept their middle class values--school is important, piano lessons, sports--the same things we do here in the DMV. Unfortunately what is true for many people in the US but maybe more prevalent for East Europeans and Serbians (especially the ones who are attracted to moving to the West),---this fictionalized idea that somehow money grows on trees in the west and if you just had that car, that outfit; that house your life would be so much more magnificent...what we don't have often romanticize and idealize--- However, with all this being said it doesnt really matter because Ana is a victim, and no one deserves what happened to her, and whoever did this should be punished to the full extent! So can we please not judge her!!! Let her rest in peace and pray for her children, mom and sister. |
So prosecutors say Brain Walsh hired an investigator to follow Ana b/c he thought she was having an affair.
Or did he just use that as the reason he told the investigators he wanted them to follow her. But, really, he just wanted to know her routines before he killed her? Not that is a reason to kill Ana, but is there any evidence that she was having an affair? Seems doubtful. |
Haven't heard anything to specifically suggest she was having an affair, but it definitelly appears she was planning to move to DC with kids and without Bryan. He was on house arrest in Mass and likely going to jail for the art fraud. If she didn't have someone else yet, she would have eventually. |
She looks hispanic not white. |
She is Serbian. |
Not judging, her death is a tragedy for her, her kids and all who loved her. I'm glad for her that she was trying to move on from that monster.
Was the house in Chevy Chase just in her name or both their names? |
What’s happening with this case? |
The husband recently received a federal sentence of 37 months in prison for art crimes that predated the murder. He is in the process of appealing that crime + prepping for the murder trial. He now has a public defender, as he's blown through whatever money he still had.
It seems that Ana Walshe was in the process of leaving her husband and preparing to take the kids to DC when he her (allegedly) murdered her. She was leaving him due to the pending federal charges + prison time related to his art crimes. His mother seems to have been somehow involved in covering for her son. Really sad. I hope someone loving is taking care of these kids. They have essentially lost both parents and his mom sounds really toxic. https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/hearing-scheduled-monday-in-ana-walshe-murder-case/3296643/ |
It's inhumane to separate children from their parents. They should go to prison with him. |
I guess Mr. Walshe smuggled an iPhone into prison via his butt. |

The Ana Walshe house is for sale. |
It’s well staged and should go quickly.
So terribly sad. Can’t help but think of the dreams she had for her boys when they were safe in that home. |
