when will schedules be in Aspen

I am new to Aspen, because my 9th grader went to a charter school. But there are mistakes in it--wrong gender, wrong math level. Whom do I contact to get things corrected? TIA for any info you can offer!

I’d send info to the assistant principal in charge of 9th grade at your school.

My DCPS is short staffed (we have 2 HR, a SPED, and 2 aide positions open) and its quite possible Deal is as well. Another problem we had was that DCPS central didn't release the positions so that principals could actually hire new people - and now that it's so close to start, no other DCPS principal would release teachers to move schools. So you have to hire outside of DCPS - if you can even find someone this late.

Someone just asked this on the Deal call. Not a staffing issue, more of a system issue. Should be rectified by orientation on Friday.

My Deal 8th grader ELA is TBD. The "system" does not assign TBD - a system admin may not have entered the data correctly.

The last time w had a TBD it took 2 months to get the person through the DC Security background check process.

Lots of schools are short staffed. Some teachers quit late in the summer and there are very limited options in terms of new qualified people to hire. Be prepared for a long term sub or just a sub.

Another reason we are seriously considering private for high school.
