+1 A truck it is not. |
The white-rimmed ones are the traditional Defender wheels. You can do a search of Defenders from the past 50 or so years, and its predecessors the Series. Most wheels were either painted the body color, or they were white. |
This. Just get the real thing, not an even more expensive knock-off. |
| don't like it |
I wouldn’t know. I’ve never ever seen one actually off-road. I see lots of Jeeps on trails though. |
| Don’t plan on keeping it past the warranty. |

I love it.
Hate the white rims I like the last 2 in the 2nd set of pictures. |
| It looks like a grandpa vehicle. |
THIS plus the douchemobile comment above. |
Traditional defenders also had front and rear live-axles, and the suspension articulation and off-road capabilities that came from them. The new “Defender” (or better yet, the Surrender) is just independent suspension front and rear. ZERO axle articulation, with the traction control system being used to make up for it when it lifts a wheel off the terrain. Pathetic. But hey, it’s still got the traditional white painted wheels.

Keep being mystified by manual transmissions, dearie. |
I looked at both and the Jeep was much more fun to drive and at least the top opens/comes off depending on what you choose. It looks like the Ford Bronco or another SUV. Not much style. |
If you are doing real off roading how long will the paint last on the wheels? |
Not PP, but the majority of the cars I’ve bought in my life have been manuals and two of the three I own now are, and I’d never buy this. |
