| On my second minivan about to get my third, with two kids who are now 13 and 10. I’ll probably drive one until we are done taking them to college. |

I am on my 3rd minivan with twin 15y olds. It has been great for everything from roadtrips to carpooling to bringing grandparents along when they visit. I plan on driving it for another 3 years and then getting a small SUV.
I never was cool so having a minivan never felt like I was losing status.

| No. Minivans are lame. Yes they have a lot of space. You don’t need a ton of space for two kids. Three kids, fine. |
| Two teen kids and we drive a VW golf. A family with 2 kids has no need for a minivan. |

No way.
I have 4 kids that are all older now so I've literally been driving a minivan for decades. Now the two older are in college and the younger two are in high school and I'm still driving a minivan (because it still runs great.) It is SUCH a waste. |

So is reviving an old post from 2021. |
We're expecting our 2nd and getting a minivan, but we have 3 adults in the house. If it was just the 4 of us I would stick with the RAV4. |
|
We had twins and drove a minivan from the time they were 3m old-17y years old. Easy to get a double stroller in/out, easy to get kids in/out, easy to haul friends, stow and go seats basically made it into a truck so we could haul things when we needed to vs rent one, convenient when grandparents came to visit, I could go on and on.
I was so glad we had the minivan all those years. |
|
Once our two kids got bigger, we needed the minivan space for car pools and family trips. That was 10 years ago and we've never looked back.
