Recommend your lunch box/bento box for Kindergarten

Don’t overthink it. We use these, which I’m not too worried about them losing. Check to make sure your 5 year old can open this though. It’s not stainless but very sturdy.

If the meals are not good and your kid won't eat them, you're going to need a lunchbox. At least have some brown paper sacks and lots of sandwich baggies on hand. It's pretty irresponsible to not prepare this possibility.

Another vote for planet box. It’s great. We got the little containers including the soft ones that can keep dry foods separate and the cups with lids for anything with liquid. No issues with those leaking and no complaints with this box

I have the planet box but tend toward other lunchboxes in the rotation because the PBox is so heavy and also very wide/long.

They were top-rack dishwasher safe so we just put them into the dishwasher every day when the kids got home from school. We had two for each kid (one big and one smaller) and we alternated so that we didn't have to run the dishwasher every day if we didn't need to. These each have an insulated cooler. We made lunches the night before, left them in the fridge and put them into the cooler with a small blue ice pack and then the cooler could go into their backpacks.

Ours are both microwave-safe and top-rack-dishwasher safe.

Large one (we have one blue, one red):

Smaller one (also have one blue, one red):

No plastic is dishwasher safe or microwave safe. How do people not know this in 2024?

Surprised no one has recommended Lunchbots? We like ours. Only 3 compartments which is perfect for a sandwich or other main, veggies, and hummus container
