My thoughts on bike shorts as fashion: a journey

No it's ridiculous. But this coming from a 38y.o mom who literally wasn't comfortable leaving the house in leggings until this summer and still don't really. My bff (same age) told me she ordered a pair of bike shorts and they were in style and she's been wearing them with big t's all summer. Neither of us are what you'd call fashionistas but we're not dowdy. When she told me I laughed her out of the room and didn't believe it but it's true people are wearing them everywhere. Hey if the waffle butt can be worn in public I guess this can too.
Well, finally bought the bike shorts on a whim on sale with a "sculpted" butt to wear at home and as lingerie of sorts as DH likes this. I guess in 5-6 years I'll wear them out of the house,, reluctantly, just like the leggings. They ARE extremely comfy.

#1 and #3 not at all. Wind jacket is like trying too hard? Hair in a bun and sneakers with white socks is trying too hard?

$5.99 at Ross in Hechinger Mall. They had a lot last week so probably. perhaps any Ross/Marshalls type place will have them right now.

#3??? I don’t think so, I think she’s gorgeous. But if she was just a plain Jane with jeans, all the more reason to wear the bike shorts.
