I did urge one cousin to get vaxed who did, but I think it was moreso because her son's entire family got hit with COVID and the parents were got far more sick than they expected - hospitalizations, etc. and that shook up my cousin. After that she asked me a lot of questions about what happened when I got vaxed and she did then get the shots, but it was more seeing the severity of illness in her own family. Some people think "it's no big deal" until they see how badly it can affect someone they know personally. SMH. I have given up trying to convince, but I have told family members that if they were unvaxed and didn't want to wear a mask not to come to a gathering at our home. We have some family members who are high risk for covid, and if you can't stand to at the very least wear a mask for two or three hours, stay home. |
