Trying to get DC to look at Wooster with no success. Does your DC like it?

Parents: European universities, the best in their country, but not well-known here.

Children: anything BUT their parents' universities! Since they will have a choice, they understand that actual academic content is not enough - there has to be a certain recognition from US grad schools and employers.

Same for us.

I have a friend whose on the faculty there and the teaching is amazing! Small class sizes and great advising/teaching. It is in the middle of nowhere but if you’re ok with that, I would recommend it!

Kid is going to our local community college. (couldn't get in, no way for us to afford it anyway)

CMU grads not able to afford one private tuition?

Just curious as DS is headed to CMU engineering in a few weeks. He chose CMU over RPI (w 1/2 merit offer) for the reputation and program. This makes me wonder if he should’ve picked RPI for the savings.
