| 36, physical recovery pretty easy, but a touch of PPA. |
| I had mine at 32, 34, and 36. My first pregnancy and recovery was by far the worst. |
|
35 awful dozens of stitches and weeks until I could walk normally.
Second at 38 was a breeze. |
| 31, I had a tough pregnancy with high blood pressure and preterm labor concerns. Birth wasn’t too bad although I did go into labor juuuust over the “full term” mark (37 weeks and a few days!) and had a 2nd degree tear which made me sore for a few weeks. Oh and baby was a nightmare newborn. Lol. I had a much easier recovery with fewer pregnancy health issues with my 2nd at 34. |

35, gestational diabetic so highly monitored. All was fine. Just unbelievably tired bc baby would not sleep. Also, bit of PPD/ anxiety.
Also had kids at 38 and 40. After the third, I felt awful. It took much longer to recover at that age ( for me). |
| 30, 32 and 35. Super easy pregnancies without a single issue. |
| 31 (HELLP syndrome developed the day before due-date, but otherwise easy pregnancy and fairly easy vaginal birth), 34 (in third trimester with #2 and on track to give birth to #2 right after my 34th birthday), and hoping for #3 right after my 36th birthday. |
| A few days after I turned 37, easy pregnancy, easy birth (c-section but not because of complications the baby was past due date), easy recovery post partum. Physically it could not have been better from conception through maternity leave. Mentally I was a mess post partum. |
| 34. Vaginal birth, only 8 hours in labor but the recovery was awful. Still haven’t had a second because of it. |
|
25 - premature birth, tear, difficult post-partum period, and PPD after a year.
30 - tear, encapsulated my placenta to ingest all the progesterone hormones that are inside, which is a recognized method to stave off PPD - you can also take progesterone pills, but placenta also has tons of iron, and I'd lost a lot of blood, so two birds with one stone... Despite passing out from blood loss and staying longer in the hospital, I experienced no PPD and my recovery was smoother. |
|
26 - had preeclampsia and baby was posterior so the birth was very nearly an emergency C. However, postpartum recovery (physical) was a breeze. One "skid mark" tear that healed fine. I did pelvic floor PT just for good measure but didn't really need it.
|
| 29. Vaginal birth with vacuum and episiotomy. I don’t know how it compares but I was very uncomfortable for about three weeks. |
| 26. No problems. |

Awful. I had pre-eclampsia and after 22 hours in labor, had an unplanned C section. My baby had to stay in the nursery, and because I was still on medication from the pre eclampsia I couldn't leave my bed, so I didn't even get to see him till he was 2 days old. Finally at 4 days we were released to go home, but 24 hours later I developed an infection and had to be readmitted. Because we had already been released, I was admitted to just a "regular" floor (not the maternity wing) so my baby was not allowed to room in with me--so we were separated for another 4 days. |

34, fine. Just tired because of the baby but body bounced back pretty well after bleeding stopped at 5 weeks.
second at 37, I got PPD with this one that I didn't realize because I was busy taking care of a colicky baby and toddler. My body lost the weight but my stomach didn't regain elasticity after this one. Vaginal recovery was fine as with the first. Two little kids was really hard for me. I don't know how people have more than 2. |
