| Definitely the swings. My kids are 5 and 9 and have already stopped using the rock wall, don’t use the picnic table (never did much to start with), and only the 5 year old uses the slide anymore. 9 year old used his sled down the slide in the winter and will sometimes race a friend up the slide / push each other off as they race up it. So,’like another poster said- only used in wildly inappropriate ways at this point. |

Swing, treehouse and slide got used a lot.
It was a very expensive, well constructed wooden set from costco. I maintained it very well also with yearly staining etc. It was in mint condition. I also had a sandbox attached to it and a rock climbing surface. I had it for at least 16 years. Then I sold it for $1 at EBay and asked the buyer to disassemble it and haul it away. We got a buyer within one day. Otherwise, my landscaper was asking for $600 to smash it us and throw it in the landfill. |
| For folks with kids who still used the swings as tweens/teens, was your swingset/swing beam about 6 feet high, 7 feet, or taller? |
| Kids in college, we took it down when they were 12 and 14. Monkey bars used the longest (we had 3 different swings, slide, firepersons pole, house/roof above the slide - this was used by our dd to eat snacks and lunch with friends for a long time). |
