Yeah, probably not since my BF made the trek, 30 years ago from that area to FHS.

That’s irrelevant. The area is closer to at least two other high schools so it all depends on whether they build a new school. The only kids guaranteed to go to FHS are those who live in Fairfax City.

Nope. Brentwood, Buckley's Reserve, Hampton Chase/Forest, and Colchester . .. all outside the City and all go to FHS.

Your reading comprehension is below grade school level.

And you're an a$$hole. So I guess I still win.

You lost a long time ago; all you've done since then is just provide further confirmation. But your "BF" in his late 40s knows that already.

I’m directly across from Woodson but I think I’m zoned to For Fairfax. Would the county let my DD attend?

No. I believe Woodson is closed to transfers, so even a curricular offering at Woodson and not at Fairfax wouldn't get you anywhere.

Definitely Woodson. We moved to NoVa a few years ago and chose to be in the Woodson boundary vs. Fairfax High. Great school. Great teachers.

Do you live in city of fairfax? If so, your kids go to city schools: Providence or Daniels Run, Johnson and then Fairfax. If your kid goes to an AAP center it will be Mosby. Pupil placement just because you live closer to one then the other isn’t a thing nor should it be.

We did the opposite and chose the Fairfax option. Our kids went to Daniels Run for the first few years and we loved it. We moved to a different address in Fairfax and they finished at Providence. They had a great experience at Providence, too, which set them up for success at (then) Lanier and Fairfax. They had excellent, caring teachers at all four schools, and we felt that each school was well run, with great PTAs and administrators. Fairfax HS will miss Dr. Lenart, but will hopefully find the right new person.
Good luck either way!
