Nervous about intensified algebra In 7th

She can just retake it in 8th (no matter her grade). I know many kids with Bs that retook it to get a firmer grasp since Algebra is a building block.

Believe in her! She wanted this, let her go for it and support her. It isn’t that hard (my kid did it) and appreciate that it sets her up for an advanced math track going forward.

Support her, but don't hand-hold. Tell her that she's taking a high school class and needs to have that level of responsibility for getting things done: She needs to get her homework done, she needs to get in touch with the teacher if she needs help. It's going to be her grade, not a joint effort.
