| Wtf does the husband do because from the article he’s running around town all day every day. And man they eat a lot! I want to know what the wife brings to the table. She doesn’t work and she doesn’t cook. I’m so confused by this. |
Sex slave, clearly. |
| Their life sounds super boring for people with no kids. |
Well, she only moved out of her dad's house (where her brother was also living) at age 36, so..... |
Everytime this board tries to push the narrative about how sophisticated high-income people are or whether dijon mustard is fancy, I'm going to remember these boring DINK millionaires eating chicken fried steak and frozen pizza and watching 90 Day Fiance 3xs in one week on vacation. |
Younger brother, no less. |
maybe he works for the inlaws company? His salary for the amount of free time he has strikes me as a random executive role created for the owner's nephew/son-in-law/cousin |
I've known a couple women who live that lifestyle and I just can't figure it. Well, unless it's my friend "T" who does a lot of "research" on mushrooms. That, I get. |
| I never understand the hours these people on Money Diaries keep either. Up at 730 am? DH has been at work for an hour and a half by then (military base). I'm up before 6 every day just because. |
| LOL at everyone here confused about the husband’s pay. To me this screams that he is a senior software engineer at a Bay Area tech company making $250-$350K in cash but $$$$ in stock. That’s why he has a ton of work flexibility, it seems like they spend as if they have a lower HHI, and they haven’t yet amassed a huge HHI. Take a look at levels.fyi if you don’t know how tech compensation works. |
| $4K for a sweater, jeans, and shoes on day six. i remember those days and the fleeting happiness turning into guilt. |
Really 7:30am sounds normal. I got up just before 9am for work this morning. You and your husband have a slog, I don't know how you keep it up day after day. |
+1 |
I order so much on Amazon and it is the most random crap, and I have no idea whether it is more than I would otherwise buy or if I would just be going to target/Home Depot on the reg without it |
| "It's the weekend!" made me laugh. They spent every other day eating, drinking, and touring around the city. There was one 1pm work call before hitting the aquarium at 2pm? How is the weekend different than seemingly any other day they have? |
