Registry advice? Feeling overwhelmed

-infant car seat
-stroller w attachments to put infant car seat in if desired
-diapers & wipes
-onesies and zip up pjs in multiple sizes
-breastfeeding supplies and/or bottle feeding supplies
-digital thermometer
-baby nail clippers & hair brush
-baby soap/shampoo and lotion
-basic baby medicine (infant Tylenol, saline drops, gas drops)

Here’s what you may like to have:
-infant carrier
-bouncy seat
-swing
-playmat/baby gym
-monitor
-changing table
-diaper bag
-rocking chair/glider
-baby bath tub
-hooded towels, baby wash cloths
-swaddlers, sleep sacks
-pacifiers, teethers
-white noise machine
-nightlight
-pack n play

What you’ll need later so can put on registry or not depending on how much space you have to store stuff:
-high chair
-solid food feeding supplies
-convertible car seat
-clothes & diapers in larger sizes

What you really don’t need to put on there at all (because people will give it to you anyway):
-books
-toys
-any clothing beyond the basics
-baby blankets

Do I really need to get the crib yet? Seems like more of a 4/5 months thing. Probably we should prioritize a bassinet?

Use Lucie’s list and register somewhere like Buy Buy Baby which has a long return policy. Amazon has a shorter return policy and so does target. I really miss the ease of returns with babies r us.

NP, You should def prioritize a crib just to be sure you get it in time. I had to cancel a crib order that we made in March, to be delivered in July. July came around and no crib. We called to ask what the status was and somehow it was backordered to March of 2022. This was Pottery Barn btw. We then ordered a crib from C&B which was delivered in less than a month, so idk what is up with PB.

It didn't help that our DS is nearly in the 90% for length so he was barely fitting the bassinet at 3 months.

This. I would add breastfeeding pillow and nursing cover in the “may like to have” list

We used the crib from day 1. So yes IMO. But of course you can start w bassinet and switch to crib later if you want.

By the way I wouldn’t really bother with baby bargains. They are very opinionated and after having my first I realized that I didn’t agree with half of the advice I followed from them. I really like Lucie’s list though.

I made the list above and agree w adding breastfeeding pillow for sure. Can’t believe I forgot that. My Boppy was invaluable to me.

Nursing cover I had but never used. (Just threw a light blanket over for nursing in public w my first and w my 2nd didn’t even bother covering up most of the time.
