This is what I have also heard. The refusal to go in person after other DCPS and charter schools did. Not much more to it. Stayed virtual only too long and the kids are suffering. |

Oh wow I am so sorry to hear about the community covid deaths, and that is a very important piece of context.
And anyways the scores were low even back in 2019, so it's not clear to me this is all pandemic related. The online job sites have a lot of anonymous posts about teacher burnout. The current Pre-K staff bios look pretty great, wonder if they'll be able to keep them. |
Unlikely. They also hired a really toxic lower school principal a few years ago. Mass staff exodus due to that. |
