Recalls can be for design flaws. They don’t have to be a company’s “fault” under a criminal standard of culpability.

Please work on your reading comprehension. The post above stated that recalls do NOT need to rise to a criminal standard of liability, not that there is a criminal standard exists for design flaws.

I would be shocked if more than 5% of current treadmill owners turned theirs back for a refund, even extending to the Nov. 2022 deadline. People really enjoy the product and it can be enjoyed safely just like every other piece of fitness equipment. When this becomes a small bump in the road for Peloton who is a clear market leader with a bunch of copy cats trying to follow their lead, people will still be yapping about their hardware and service being “overpriced garbage.” Meanwhile, those people have never tried any of this.

The tread has a different recall than the tread +. The touchscreen can become loose and fall off. In their email they recommended to stop using the treadmill until a fix is available within a few weeks.

Degloving, also called avulsion, is a type of severe injury that happens when the top layers of your skin and tissue are ripped from the underlying muscle, connective tissue, or bone. It can affect any body part, but it's more common in the legs.

His entire back was degloved.
