Let me try again. I think this thread reflects that there is no consensus that one school is The Best. Maybe UCONN is slightly stronger. However, as a nerd with a Ph.D., I wouldn't be so strong as to make it worth living in Storrs for 4 years. If I wanted to study puppetry, I might reconsider. I think all of the NE public universities have reputations as party schools. |

OP here. Thank you for responding. I didn't realize that (some people think) Storrs is so bad! Would you recommend that a strong student who is interested in a public university strongly consider being a bit bolder and leaving NE? All of these perspectives are helpful. Thx. |

I went to URI and loved it! Everyone lives on the beach. Not too big or small. Wonderful 4 years. Still miss Rhody! |
