Their matriculations this year were very good (Harvard, Vanderbilt, Cornell, Brown, Dartmouth, etc).

Thanks. We did one of the boarding summer camps there this summer. We were blown away by the facilities. We also really liked the very small class sizes. We plan to look into it as one of our options for high-school.

I know several kids who were counseled out of big three schools who went to Mercersburg. It's not a prestigious boarding school, but it's probably a nice school without being much of a pressure cooker.

I note that you say that it's probably a good school, which doesn't give me the impression that you know that much about it. If you do, please do share what you know aboit the school. Your post seems to read more like a dig at a school that isnt your big 3 day school.

If you could share more about the kids that were counseled out and why, that would be helpful information. It'd also help if the information you convey was presented from a vantage point that you yourself would appreciate receiving if you were considering a school for your kid.
