Highly recommend Bee Be Gone! Dave (the owner) got rid of a yellow jacket nest in our siding and was very knowledgeable and friendly.

LOL. This is what we do. These little buggers are pretty tough - one swat with a racquet usually isn't enough though.
And, they may not sting, but they are destructive. They bore holes in wood to lay eggs. You can stuff the holes with steel wool to keep them from coming back.

We also use carpenter bee traps. They are effective. Carpenter bees are ubiquitous where I live.




We .have something similar. Five carpenter bees so far.

I have heard the poison and caulking holes doesn’t work-they just come back and burrow new holes. Try a butterfly net and catch them, then stomp on them. It is a shame to kill them but they can cause real damage to wood.
