Going to the hospital for delivery by taxi?

New poster here. Have pretty much the same question -how easy is it to get a taxi in the middle of the night near Pentagon City metro? I am thinking of moving there but my hospital is in DC and I am car-free.

I know I'm a little late to this thread, but what about getting Zipcar or even renting a car? I'm in Clarendon and we use Zipcar all the time, its fantastic for quick trips! And you can probably rent a car for a couple of days fairly inexpensively. Just a thought! Good luck!

that's what I thought too! I will make my husband responsible for figuring all this out, haha. As for cars with LATCH, I always see cabs around the hospital (just as one of PPs noted) - aren't they sort of equipped for car seats? Definitely need a cabbie friend

Should be, yes. But you never know. If it's an older model car, you may not have the anchors you need to use the base. My point is only to be prepared for either.

From CarSafety.org: LATCH has been available in most passenger vehicles since model year 2003. Tether anchors have been available since model year 2000.
