| My nephew is Michael after his dad and his sister is Jordan. It’s not so bad because There are 2 other “J” name sisters because the parents were on a J girl name kick. |
|
It’s absolutely noticeable, and a story that people will tell.
Also, be careful with the 2nd’s initials. You might end up with Ford and GT, or Ford and ST, or Ford and F. |
| In our neighborhood there is Matthew, Broderick and Joshua (War Games Fans - that was the password) |
| I liked the name Daniel, but our firstborn is Jack. |
| Not exactly the same but we had to nix a name on our list for DC2 when we realized our family would have 4 names out of the 5 main characters on Family Ties. |
That's funny because that's the one I thought of before I opened the thread. And I'm sure there are families out there with an Ashley and a Madison -- how embarassing for them now. |
| So one kid is named Harrison and you plan on naming the second kid Ford? Please don't name your kid Ford |
She ALREADY has a Ford. |
So, Ford. No, OP. Sorry. Hear yourself at the playground: “Harrison! Ford!” LOL |
That’s a stretch! Who would ever make that connection? |
Oh, in that case, OP, name your kid Prefect. DONE. |
Oh, that is unfortunate. Yeah, I would not call your next kid Harrison. Everyone is going to think it is intentional. |
| My first has the same name as a GOT character but was born before the tv show came out and we were not familiar with the books. My second was coincidentally going to be named the same as another GOT character but we had to nix that because it was the year the TV show came out and we were like "yeah, we can't do that" even though we'd loved the name beforehand and had no connection to the show or books whatsoever. We just didn't want people to think we named our kids after GOT characters because we weren't even fans of the books and the show wasn't even out until I was maybe 6 months pregnant! |
| Oh, I think I know you, OP. Do you have a similar type of first name yourself? |
I don't think this is OP. |
