APS: No health screening text/email

Why so glib? Filling it out isn't complicated, true. But that assumes that you actually received it, which many didn't. APS never communicated that families had to show the green check mark, so it's important that parents know to screenshot the green check mark to facilitate the drop off process. Further, there are some who were able to receive the green check mark without actually answering the symptom questions, so that seems like a pretty big point of failure in all of this.

What I mean is that you just need to get in touch with your school. Whining on an online board doesn’t solve the issue. And folks have literally not checked their spam folders and come back to say oh it was there. I didn’t get a text today but I got an email around six this morning. The kids aren’t even in class today. Just consider it a trial run and mellow the F out.

I forgot this is Arlington it’s the find fault with everything no matter what, (even if it’s mostly in agreement with what I want) kinda spot.

Somehow mine ended up in the Unroll me folder, despite not being added to the roll up, so some people might want to check there. I did not get texts, phone numbers are in parentvue.

We are virtual, and thankfully we didn’t get a text, only an email today. I may fill it out from time to time, but if they can’t figure out who is f supposed to be in the building and not send everyone spam every day, I’m not going to worry about it. Let them put me on a naughty list.

For what it’s worth it might still be valuable for kids in all virtual to do the survey. It gives them countywide info on health.

Yes. APS requested one fill it out so they can tell the health of the overall community. But people just like to complain.

Well I'm already monitoring my kid's work, acting as their IEP support, and doing my full-time job. I'm ignoring it. If at some point my kid actually goes into the school building, I will fill it out.

No it doesn't. I would fill it out if it would provide any meaningful data. It won't. Lots of virtual kids aren't even in the DC area. Any info they collect is meaningless.

The important thing is that parents understand that they cannot drop off sick kids as they have in the past. That includes kids with coughs and colds. If they do, they will be called back right away to pick them up.
