So when are admissions decisions sent?

Does anyone know when St. Columbia's will mail the letters?

For the poster who just posted about getting into Metropolitan - were you near the front of the line?
We were thirty-something in line and are on the waitlist as thirty-something. I'm guessing there are a lot of siblings who got it or shouldn't I have been moved higher on the list (assuming some people in front of me got in and some were in different age groups). I am baffled by this.

I don't remember exactly where we were in line. Definitely ahead of 30 but not in the top 10 or anything like that. Keep in mind, age and gender might also play a role in placement.

Does anyone know how many spots St Johns acutally had for non-siblings/parishners this year?

St. John's had to turn down siblings this year. There were NO slots for non sibs / non parishioners but because their admissions statement says they will take new families every year, she will have to have taken at least one or two.

This would have been nice to know before wasting our time. Oh well.

If you had to choose between Franklin and G'town montesori which would you choose?

Did she honestly not mention that at the information sessions?

We are 9 on the Metropolitan waitlist and were maybe 20 or so on application day? We weren't part of the first group that created the handwritten list of names, but right after that. I honestly can't remember. I'm sure a lot has to do with both age and gender. I'm wondering if we have any chance to get off the list at 9...

Heard from Country Day in McLean today.

NP here - No, this was not mentioned. And, I actually asked what the pool looked like b/c of rumors posted on this board about an unusually large number of siblings. The response was vague. Anyway, we got our waitlist letter today.

Does anyone ever get rejected outright or is everyone waitlisted from St Johns? Does a handwritten note at the end of the letter come standard?
Anonymous
I doubt that St. John's rejects anyone - just waitlist.

Another handwritten note here.

I'd imagine any open possible spots would go to siblings/parish members who didn't get in initially?
