Cat Sebastian's books
Alyssa Cole's books, but particularly the Loyal League series |
| The Helen Hoang books. Main characters have aspberger ‘s as does the author. Light and fluffy but also interesting look into their lives. |
| The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons |
| Any interest in smut that is not so thoughtful? Thoughtful seems highly overrated this year. I spend too much time being thoughtful... it is wearing me down. |

I will bite. I've been reading romance for 35+ years. My tastes have changed over the years. I stopped with the historicals years ago because I couldn't stand to read about the Ton anymore. However, I did like watching Brigerton. I'm also loving Outlander even though I couldn't bring myself to read the books.
For romantic comedies the very best is Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Read her Chicago Stars series. I'm also a very bit fan of Jill Shalvis. Her Lucky Harbor, Heartbeaker Bay, and Cedar Ridge Series are all very good. For straight up romance Marie Force's Gansett Island and Green Mountain/Butler Vermont series are fantastic. For Romantic Suspense Pamela Clare's I-Team series is excellent, Suzanne Brockmann's Troubleshooter series is addictive. Nora Roberts' stand alone novels are romantic suspense and are really good. I've read almost all of NR oeuvre so I can be more specific. My all time favorite series is her "In Death" that she writes as J.D. Robb but it isn't really romance. It is about a homicide detective in NYC. The stories are great and you get immersed in her world but be warned the series is over 50 books now so it is a commitment but worth it. For "romantica" that is romance that has very explicit sex. The two best I've read are Lorelei James and Lauren Dane. LJ has the Rough Riders series that is wonderful. I'm not a rereader but I've reread this series a couple of times. The character development is fantastic. You have to be comfortable with threesomes and some BDSM but it isn't like 50 Shades. LJ is a much better writer. Lauren Dane's Brown Sibling series is very hot as the spinoff series from that one. I cannot remember the name of that series but you can find it. She also writes in the vampire/werewolf/shape shifter genre but I don't read those so I can't help there. LD also wrote the Chase Brothers and Petal Georgia series that is sexy but less explicit than the others. I also really enjoyed her Hurley Brothers series. Those are my recs for now. I've read tons of authors so feel free to ask about others if you are curious. |
Yes the first two ideas had a lot of sex. I read Holidaze over Christmas and that had quite a few scenes. |
| Anything by Meghan March! But definitely the Beneath Series it is SO GOOD! I've read 13 books by her so far in 2021 bc I just can't put them down. The first one in the series Beneath The Mask is free on kindle. |

The Hidden Grotto series. I was like "whoa" when I read these.

The cover and premise may look really cheesy, but I loved this book and the sequel. Well-written, good character development.

Its women having an affair. |
| Try Helena Hunting - I’ve read a couple of hers and they’re good. |
I agree! I’m eagerly awaiting the third one! |
| I don’t know if they’d feel horribly dated, but Judith Krantz, especially the earlier ones like Scruples and Princess Daisy. |
YES! Came here to recommend this. Not a popular book but SO good. It’s a WW2 drama, much better than any other WW2 IMO. And sexy as hell. |
